Description

A small study on the origin and development of the Florentine Renaissance. While between 500 and 1000 AD Christianity, with an eye towards death and resurrection, saved Europe, it was with the birth of trade, after 1000, that this philosophy was inexorably replaced by money. The Black Death (1348/9) and the Great Schism (1378-1417) are the catalysts for the collapse of Christianity and the subsequent total victory of money. Rebirth is the secular side of the changes leading to the Reformation.
